Ashley Olsen's Intro

Ashley Olsen wrote an intro in her and M.K's book Influence. I thought I'd share it for people who don't own the book. Its always how I've felt about life except I didn't get a job at 6 months old...anyway, you get what I mean.

"Hardwork has never been something someone taught me or something I picked up from someone else. Maybe it's a by-product of landing my first job at six months old, but I've never believed that there were boundaries or limits to anything I set my mind to. For the first time in my life, I'm in complete control of my destiny. Like everything you put out there for the universe to see, it all comes back to you. I'm finding out that taking my life to the next level is all about discovery. Being aware of the world around you requires you to pay attention to everyone and everything. But in order to stay grounded, you have to stay true to yourself. Diane Von Furstenburg once told me, 'You have to be your best friend.' I believe that.

None of us is in this game alone. With each project I begin, I'm reminded of the importance of listening, of appreciating and taking advantage of all the creative, dynamic, and wonderfully bizarre people in my life. And like any good listener, I know its my duty to share this wealth of influence with others. Whether it's my family, my friends, a novel I've read a hundred times over, or my favorite painting, I'm really just the sum of many different parts. Ultimately, that's what this book is all about. I've been inspired, surprised, supported, and yes, influenced by every person I've talked to in this book. Their stories, bodies of work, and lives are like open vaults of creativity for me....Whenever life feels like a dreary place, these individuals know how to make the most out of any situation. I turn to the people on t hese pages, in one way or another, to keep me afloat.

The book you are holding in your hands is comprised of conversations my sister and I have had with artists, designers, photographers, writers, and personalities who come from different backgrounds, industries, age groups, and points of view. Risk takers in their own special way, they share a common belief that the world should never be a boring place. To put it bluntly, they have guts. I dont' want the dialogue to stop at the end of each interview. It's my hope each one will remain a constantly evolving conversation that will continue to influence every project that I do-and perhaps by reading, you will be similarly affected by these interviews too. I believe part of the process of figuring yourself out is a way of connecting the dots between the fabulous and influential people around us all, like some sort of hidden constellation-you only have to know where to look." - Ashley Olsen

It's a good reminder of how important your friends are and I'm so very lucky to have the people I do in my life. You guys know who you are. You are my inspiration, I love you guys.

Vampiric from Head to Toe

This includes Nails. Ta-Da!!! Gothic Vampire Nail Art!!! OMG, how bad do you want the gold crosses on your dainty witch fingers? I know I'd love to slap the hell out of someone with some bitchin' nails on. Drool to your hearts desire. It'd be even better with some dangling chains. Maybe I should make a show called Pimp My Nails.

Sweet Jesus, What Great Casting!!!

Daniel Henney as Agent Zero in the Wolverine Movie. I don't really know how great his acting skills are but he is such a dreamboat. I sense a new crush coming on, but I remain faithful to JGL. He's more my style.

I love Power Coalitions!

Some final shots I took from Lanvin A/W 09 Show in Paris. I know its cheesy but it feels so good to see a giant group of super cute girls dressed in kind of a uniform marching! Power friendships!! You know that's what I'm all about!!

CHANEL, 1994

There are no words to describe how much I want one of the Chanel suits from 1994. I may partially look like a Chanel obsessed video ho already, but I want to own one of the pastel colored bitchy mc-bitch suits from this collection + the abundance of accessories that will weigh me down with pleasure. The new stuff just isn't as good, as demonstrated by Daria Werbowy in the March 2009 Paris Vogue Chanel Special.

As Wayne and Garth said, "SCHWING!! Claudia Schiffer, we salute you!" This would be me but I'd wear a lot more bling. The look on the bottom completely embodies everything I stand for. I don't think I have to say anything else. Nothing would be more perfect.

Here is Daria Werbowy............................

Its cute. I'd wear it....but I must say, I'm a little bored.

People Like You Make Me Sick

One of two identical letters sent to me consecutively from the same guy. Why the hell would a mass e-mail from a pedo interest anyone? Relocating for someone like this? Please. Your future would likely include being murdered and your body disposed of in his convenient backyard burial ground, the very same beach/OCEAN SIDE (AKA. CEMETARY) property that he claims to own.

I'd rather watch this Minute (Wo)man

I want to be the Silhouette, minus the lesbian part and possibly that outfit. The historic military thing isn't really for me.

OMG

Thierry Mugler to design Beyonce tour
thierrry 02/06/2009
Beyonce Knowles has enlisted Thierry Mugler to design a scene-stealing wardrobe for her new tour. After reportedly discovering a love for the designer after seeing his pieces at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute's Superheroes exhibition in May, Knowles then chose a vintage 1987 Mugler dress for the cover shoot of new album, I Am Sasha Fierce. Although Mugler had stepped away from the fashion world, concentrating instead on his couture and fragrance collections, the singer has has tempted him back, enlisting him to create a 58-piece wardrobe for her upcoming world tour. But it doesn't stop there; Mugler's input will also extend to a creative advisor role, WWD reports, which will see him contribute to the design of the whole show, from lighting to choreography, as well as also providing stage outfits for the entire production. He will even direct three sections, entitled, Dangerously in Love, Ave Maria and a spectacular finale. The tour kicks off in March 2009, with the first concert taking place in Canada.

Old news to you maybe?? Definitely new news to me!! I love Thierry Mugler!! Not sure if I love him or Beyonce more but him + Beyonce is super fantasticcccco!!
