Secret Shifters

Sometimes when I am feeling less than perfectly happy, I have to retrieve those feelings by turning to a secret shifter, which is a folder of random things that makes me instantly happy. This retarded cat from Natsume's Book of Friends brings me such joy! How the simple things in life can do this is incredible!

Romantic Ramblings Inspired by Breakfast With The Love of My Life

I copy and pasted this and for whatever reason, can't get rid of the baby blue highlighter, but, more the more important issue at hand is, how great is this quote? It's by Joss Whedon, is that the guy who wrote Buffy the Vampire Slayer?! Wow, it's both deep and contemporary. As sarcastic as that sounds, it is 100% truth. How amazing would it be for someone to say this to you? Girls, aspire to be with no one else but the man who feels this way.

History + Nostalgic References

I've been looking at photos online of various bloggers etc...and we've (when I say we, I mean most of the fashion set age group from their teens to mid/late twenties) is referencing 90s/grunge right now. The pictures are cute and all because it's an era that's already passed that we know is visually pleasing...but does anyone ever think how this will skew the historical referencing years down the line? Obviously it'll never be as authentic as the real 90s but will we want to remember the 2010s as the year that look like the 90s? It's kind of weird isn't it? Perhaps this is why we are all so fucking bored.

Although, while trying to find a picture for this posting, I came across a Sex and the City reference from I think 1st or 2nd season and actually, they look incredible!! This is the 90s I'm thinking of. Vogue 90s, Jil Sander. Even Miranda looks cool.

Obsessed with this song!!

Don't know if it'll make it to the final edit of the runway soundtrack but it's a good hint to how I'm feeling for the ending of the collection. It's kind of romantic in a high school prom kind of way. All I know is that she's so cool and everyone is totally in love with her!!
